In the city of Bathurst’s 200th year, BCCAN is holding an exhibition titled “200 Plants and Animals”. This exhibition will take place in a pop-up shop in the Coles arcade opposite the Post Office in Howick Street. It will be an exhibition of 100 plants and 100 animals, represented through paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, fibre art and biological specimens such as feathers and bones. The exhibition seeks to involve the community in stopping to think about the unique flora and fauna that has existed here not only through the last 200 years, but for millennia beforehand. It will include native and introduced species, the familiar and unfamiliar, the large and the very, very small.
Venue address: Shop 7, 177 Howick Street, Bathurst
