As we launch in to 2016, one of the most pressing issues for BCCAN is the proposed sale of water to the Regis company for a proposed gold mine in the Blayney Shire. BCCAN has opposed this on the grounds that it would be imprudent to sell off water as we face a heating, drying future due to climate change. We have made our own submission to Council but we are also keen to foster further distribution of some other key submissions opposing the proposal.
